Job Description:
Curriculum development and teaching (12 hours) in undergraduate courses in multiple disciplines of laboratory medicine, at both the medical laboratory technician and medical technologist level. Responsibilities include student advising and recruiting; service to the MLT Department, School of Health Sciences and College; and demonstration of continuing professional development and ongoing scholarly activity.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in health, education, or a field related to laboratory medicine. Five years clinical laboratory experience, with three years as an instructor in a clinical laboratory setting. National certification as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (generalist) and New York State Technologist license or eligibility required. A doctoral degree is required to be considered for tenure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants with an earned doctorate in health, education, or a field related to laboratory medicine, as well as those individuals with expertise in Microbiology and/or Molecular Diagnostics and experience teaching laboratory medicine in a College setting.
